Mangaluru: Police officials arrest four accused in cow theft, slaughter case

Police officials have apprehended four individuals suspected of engaging in the theft and slaughter of cows.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Badruddin (65), G Abdul Majid (43), Khaleel (35), and Mohammed (56), all residents of various localities in the vicinity.
According to preliminary investigations, Majid, Mohammed, Khaleel, Ansar, and others were allegedly involved in the illicit trade of selling slaughtered cows. The operation unfolded with a raid on Badruddin’s residence, where authorities uncovered the carcasses of the cows along with equipment utilized for slaughtering, collectively valued at Rs 32,850.
However, the authorities are still on the lookout for five additional suspects who remain at large.
