Chikkamagaluru: 7-year-old boy killed in air gun ‘misfire’

Chikkamagaluru: A 7-year-old boy was killed in Mallenahalli village here allegedly due to a misfire of a air gun.

The deceased has been identified as Vishnu (7), a resident of Mallenahalli.

A case has been registered at the rural police station about the incident took place at the Hakkipikki Colony.

The sequence of event tha led to the gunfire are not clear. It is alleged that the air gun used for driving away monkeys accidentally misfired when the child grabbed it to play. Police are investigating the circumstances behind the incident.
