Renowned music director Ravi Basrur has embarked on a mission to revitalize the very school that laid the foundation for his success. B.M. School, nestled in the heart of Basrur with a rich history spanning over a century, has received a much-needed facelift, courtesy of Basrur’s generous contributions.

Established 132 years ago on November 1, 1892, B.M. School has been shaping the lives of countless students from class one to class seven. However, despite its illustrious past, the school’s infrastructure had deteriorated over time, plagued by dilapidated buildings and inadequate facilities.

Undeterred by the challenges, Ravi Basrur, an alumnus of the school, took it upon himself to address these issues head-on. With a heartfelt commitment to giving back to his alma mater, Basrur invested Rs. 25 lakh to initiate a series of development projects aimed at rejuvenating the school.

Over the course of just three months, a remarkable transformation took place. Basrur oversaw the installation of a sturdy gate, a protective compound, a modern kitchen, and the replacement of old doors and windows. Additionally, portraits of national leaders now adorn the walls, reflecting the school’s renewed sense of pride.

Basrur’s vision extends beyond mere infrastructure upgrades. Plans are underway to establish a mini theater and a park on the school premises, further enhancing the educational experience for students. Moreover, recognizing the importance of supporting teachers, Basrur has devised innovative fundraising initiatives to augment the salaries of honorary staff.

The impact of Basrur’s initiative has reverberated beyond Basrur’s borders, garnering support from the Telugu film industry. Background artists have pledged financial contributions, signaling a newfound sense of solidarity and community spirit.

Speaking passionately about his endeavor, Ravi Basrur expressed his desire to breathe new life into his beloved school. With 86 students currently enrolled, Basrur’s efforts have already begun to yield tangible results, with broken benches replaced and plans underway to enhance teacher compensation.
