Bengaluru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his public address in Bengaluru, launched a scathing critique of the Congress government, accusing it of transforming Bengaluru into a “tanker city” and neglecting its development. The remarks came as part of his campaign trail ahead of the upcoming elections.

PM Modi emphasized the stark contrast between the vision of Nadaprabhu Kempegowda and the alleged mismanagement under the Congress regime. He attributed the deterioration of Bengaluru’s infrastructure and governance to the Congress government’s focus on corruption rather than addressing the city’s pressing issues.

“Nadaprabhu Kempegowda had dreamt of making Bengaluru a magnificent city. But the Congress government has worsened the situation here in a short time. They have turned the tech city into a tanker city and handed it over to the water mafia. Whether it’s agriculture or urban infrastructure, budgets are being cut everywhere,” he said, adding that the focus of the Congress government is “only on corruption”, not on the problems of the people of Bengaluru.

“But don’t forget, Congress opposed Aadhaar. Congress opposed Jan Dhan Accounts. Congress ridiculed digital payments. Congress opposed digital authentication in the ration scheme. Congress opposed the Co-WIN platform during the COVID-19 pandemic. Congress maligned the Made in India COVID-19 vaccine,” he added.

Furthermore, PM Modi outlined the achievements of the NDA government in Karnataka, emphasizing the growth of industries such as aerospace and defense. He highlighted the success of organizations like Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and Boeing in the state, attributing it to favorable policies and conducive business environment under the central government.

“In the last ten years, twenty-five crore people have been lifted out of poverty,” PM Modi reiterated, emphasizing the impact of government schemes on poverty alleviation.

PM Modi urged the people of Bengaluru to vote for a government committed to embracing technology and innovation.
