Prime Minister Narendra Modi has penned a letter to Brijesh Chowta, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate for Dakshina Kannada, praising his military background and dedication to serving the people of the district.
In the letter, Modi commended Chowta for his service in the renowned “Gorkha Regiment,” known for its counter-offensive operations in the Indian Army. He also lauded Chowta’s contributions to literature and culture, notably through his organization of the Mangalore Lit Fest.
“I can be sure that you will be involved for the development and welfare of the people of Dakshina Kannada district,” Modi wrote in the letter, expressing confidence in Chowta’s capabilities as a candidate.
Modi emphasized the significance of the upcoming election, urging voters to recognize its importance in shaping the country’s future. He highlighted the progress made in the last decade and the continued efforts needed for further development.
“Every vote given to BJP will go a long way in forming a stable government and making it a developed country by 2047,” Modi stated, urging voters to cast their ballots early in the morning to avoid the summer heat.
Furthermore, Modi emphasized the importance of grassroots efforts in winning elections, urging party workers to focus on winning every booth in the Lok Sabha constituency. He also stressed the need for workers to prioritize their health while engaging in campaign activities.
Meanwhile, Brijesh Chowta condemned the filing of a case against ABVP activists who protested the brutal killing of Hindu girl Neha Hiremath in Hubballi. He accused the Congress of remaining silent on the issue and indirectly encouraging fanaticism.
Karkala MLA Sunil Kumar also condemned the case against ABVP activists, labeling it unforgivable and highlighting the importance of demanding justice for victims of violence.
