Watch: 2 Malaysian Navy helicopters crash mid-air; 10 onboard killed

Two Malaysian Navy helicopters crashed during a military rehearsal, resulting in the deaths of 10 people. The incident occurred during a fly-over exercise at the TLDM stadium in Lumut, Perak, at around 9:30 am on Tuesday.
“All victims were confirmed dead on site and the remains were sent to TLDM Military Hospital for identification process,” stated TLDM.
A video of the collision went viral on social media, showing one helicopter crashing into the tail of another mid-air.
The collision involved a Fennec M502-6 and a HOM M503-3, with the Fennec helicopter manned by a three-man crew and the other having a seven-member crew onboard.

The Fennec helicopter crashed into the sports complex’s swimming pool, while the other chopper crashed on the stairs at the TLDM stadium.
TLDM announced that an investigation would be conducted to determine the cause of the incident. Preliminary reports indicate that the two aircraft left Padang Sitiawan around 9:03 am before colliding.
