Udupi: Two persons — a teenager who accidentally fell into a well and a man who jumped to his rescue — were brought out safely by the fire brigade.

A 16-year-old boy from the laborer colony in Kinnimulky accidentally fell into the water well measuring about 8 feet in diameter and plunging to a depth of 35 feet. On seeing this, a 34-year-old man got into the well to rescue him. However, he too got stuck and was unable to climb out.

Thankfully, a bystander alerted the fire brigade. The fire brigade rushed to the scene and successfully retrieved both the teenager and the man from the depths of the well.
