A fire erupted at Siddapura market in Kundapura Taluk late Monday night, May 6. Three shops within a building were engulfed, resulting in substantial financial losses.
The blaze originated ina spare parts shop, spreading rapidly to a neighboring Nandini milk parlour and a beauty parlour on the upper floor.
Although the exact time of the incident remains uncertain, the fire had already consumed the entire building by the time it was discovered. Despite efforts by the fire department, the structure suffered extensive damage.
While the cause of the fire is yet to be determined, preliminary speculation points to a possible short circuit.
A case has been registered with the Shankarnarayana police station, and investigations are ongoing.
