Mangaluru: Kadri police have arrested two persons for their alleged involvement in a plot to kidnap a resident of Kadri Kambala.

The arrested have been identified as Prajwal and Akshay, both residents of Panemangaluru. An NRI resident had hired the duo on contract to abduct the man as he owed him money.

Reportedly, the victim had taken a loan of Rs 18 lakhs and had repaid Rs 12.05 lakhs. As the remaining loan amount was unpaid, the NRI had allegedly given contract money to the arrested individuals to kidnap him.

A case has been registered at Kadri Police Station.
