CET-24 results to be announced after II PUC 2nd cycle and Agricultural Practical Exam Results: KEA

Bengaluru: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has clarified that the results of the Common Entrance Test (CET-24) will only be announced after the results of the second cycle of the second PUC exams (II PUC Examination 2) and the agricultural practical exams are out.

H Prasanna, the Executive Director of KEA, stated that rumors on social media claiming that the CET-24 results will be released on Monday, May 20, are not true.

“The CET rank list includes 50% of the marks obtained by students in science subjects of the second PUC. This rule has always been followed,” Prasanna said in a press statement.

This year, three exams are being conducted for the second PUC. The highest marks obtained in the first two exams will be considered for the CET rank. Therefore, KEA needs to wait for the results of the second exam, he added.

Additionally, the University of Agriculture has scheduled the Agricultural Practical Examination for admission to the B.Sc Agriculture degree on May 25. The results of this exam are also needed for the CET rank, Prasanna explained.
