Mangaluru: Two arrested for illegal possession of pistols

Mangaluru CCB police nabbed two individuals on Monday, May 20 for illegally possessing a gun and bullets without license.

Police identified the accused as Mohammed Asgar (26) and Abdul Nisar K (29), both residents of Manjeshwar.

According to CCB police, the arrests were during a raid based on a credible tipoff that the two youths were hatching a conspiracy for violence. The duo was arrested from a car in Talapady’s Pilikooru area.

Two pistols, live bullets, 2 mobile phones, and the car were confiscated. The value of the seized articles is estimate at Rs 7.15 lakhs, police added.

A case has been registered at Ullal police station in this regard.
