Locals apprehended individuals illegally transporting cattle in a pickup truck and handed them over to the police in Yelimale.
At around 3 AM, locals received information that four cows were being transported in a pickup truck from Ambekallu, Yelimale. Acting on this tip, local youths intercepted the vehicle at Kallupane on the Yelimale-Ambekallu road.
It is reported that two individuals attempted to flee from the vehicle but were caught by the locals. The individuals detained were identified as Harish from Puttur and Ibrahim from Konaje. This is not the first instance of illegal cattle transport in the Yelimale area, according to local sources.
