Foul play?: Police to exhume deceased’s body for forensic examination

The Vittal and Manjeshwar police are set to exhume the body of a man after the deceased’s brother lodged a complaint suspecting foul play.
Ashraf, 44, a resident of Sunkadakatte Marjipalla passed away on May 6 and was buried at Rahmania Juma Masjid in Kanyana Bandithadka on the same day.
Reportedly Ashraf retired to bed on May 5 night after having dinner. He was found dead the following morning and his wife reported that he had suffered a cardiac arrest.
Ashraf’s brother, Ibrahim, who was in Pune at the time of Ashraf’s death, suspected foul play and lodged a complaint with the Manjeshwar police. Acting on his complaint, police will exhume Ashraf’s body for a forensic examination.
