The film, produced by Johar, promises an intense love story set against the backdrop of societal barriers.
In a video announcement on Monday, Johar shared a Hindi caption that read, “Once upon a time, there was a king and there was a queen. They were from different castes, and that’s the end of the story.”

The video also has a snippet of Siddhant and Triptii’s characters, Neelesh and Vidhi, in an emotional embrace.
Siddhant’s voiceover says, “Jo sapna tum dekh rahi ho Vidhi usme mere liye koi jagah nahi hai (The dream that you have, Vidhi, there is no place for me in it).”
Triptii responds, “Toh phir yeh bhi bata do Neelesh ki in feelings ka kya karun (Then let me know, Neelesh, what should I do with my feelings)?”
“Dhadak 2,” backed by Zee Studios, Dharma Productions, and Cloud 9 Pictures, is set for a big-screen release on November 22, 2024.
