“Stop offering namaz on streets, otherwise…”: VHP issues warning

Mangaluru: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has warned that they will start mass recitations of the Hanuman Chalisa if performing Namaz on roads is not stopped.
In some places, people have been offering Namaz on roads and public areas. This is a plan to create disharmony in the district, VHP said.
Sharan Pumpwell, Regional Joint Secretary of the VHP, urged the district administration to take action immediately. If this happens again, VHP will respond by reciting the Hanuman Chalisa in large groups at those locations, he warned.
Meanwhile, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel said: “In the heart of Mangaluru, the situation has reached a point where the roads are being blocked in broad daylight for Namaz, causing obstructions to vehicular traffic and pedestrians. This is a clear reflection of the arbitrary administration of the state’s Congress government. The attitude of not caring about laws, policies, and rules is developing among some people due to the special ‘favor’ shown by the Congress government towards them.”
