Kaup: 4 students injured in car crash on NH 66

Kaup: A car lost control and crashed into a ditch on the side of National Highway 66 at Koppalangadi, injuring four students on Tuesday morning.

The injured have been identified as Dhruv Yadav, Siddharth Shetty, Krish Ansari, and Muhammad Uzair Qureshi, who were traveling from Udupi to Mangaluru Airport. Among the injured, Dhruv Yadav’s condition is reported to be serious.

The car lost control at Koppalangadi, crashed into a roadside ditch, hit a rock, and then overturned on the road.

The impact was so severe that the car was completely wrecked, and the four occupants were found scattered on the road. Local residents rushed to the scene and transported the injured to the hospital.

Kaup police visited the spot, registered a case, and are investigating.
