Udupi: Uppuru PDO and Bill collector caught accepting bribe

Uppuru Panchayat Development Officer (PDO) Inayatullah Baig and Bill Collector Sanjay were caught by Lokayukta officials while accepting a bribe for issuing land records 9 and 11.

The Lokayukta police conducted a sting operation and apprehended the officials while they were accepting a bribe of Rs 13,300 from Ravi Dilima. The operation was conducted under the guidance of Lokayukta SP Nataraj, with the team led by DySP K.C. Prakash and inspectors Manjunath and Rafiq participating in the raid.

Both Inayatullah Baig and Sanjay have been placed in judicial custody until June 12.
