Woman kidnap case: Bhavani Revanna keeps SIT sleuths waiting

PTI, Jun 1, 2024, 4:56 PM IST

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has encountered a setback in their investigation into a kidnap case involving Bhavani Revanna, mother of the suspended JD(S) leader, Prajwal Revanna. Despite issuing a notice for Bhavani to be present at her residence, she was not available when the SIT arrived at her home in Holenarasipura.

The notice had requested Bhavani to remain at home from 10 am to 5 pm for questioning related to sexual abuse allegations against her son and Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna. However, when the SIT officers turned up at her residence, ‘Chennambika Nilaya,’ she was absent.

SIT sources indicated that they are now planning to form search teams to locate Bhavani. In a related development, Prajwal Revanna, who returned from Germany and was arrested at the Bengaluru airport, has denied all allegations against him.
