The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released its list of candidates for the upcoming elections from the Assembly to the Legislative Council. With Monday being the last day for the submission of nomination papers, the party finalized three candidates on Sunday.

Elections will be held for eleven seats, with the BJP poised to win three. The candidates finalized are former Minister CT Ravi, Parishad Member N. Ravikumar, and former Basavakalyan MLA MG Moole.

Raghunath Malkapure, who previously contested from Bidar and served as the Chairman of the Legislative Council, did not receive a ticket this time. Instead, the party nominated MG Moole, a former MLA from Kalyan Karnataka and former president of the Maratha Development Corporation.

Former state president Nalin Kumar Kateel, MP Sumalatha, and others who had been vying for the Vidhan Parishad ticket were left disappointed by the final selections.

Key dates for the election process are as follows:

Monday, May 24: Last day for submission of nomination papers
Tuesday, May 25: Scrutiny of nomination papers
Thursday, May 27: Last day to withdraw nomination papers
Thursday, June 13: Voting and announcement of results
