Netflix renews ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’ for season two

Netflix has officially ordered a second season of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s acclaimed period drama ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’, following its successful premiere last month.

The series, set during the pre-Partition era, explores the lives and influence of courtesans during India’s fight for independence.

Starring a notable ensemble cast including Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, and Aditi Rao Hydari, the show has been praised for its lavish sets and intricate storytelling. Bhansali expressed his gratitude for the show’s reception, while Netflix’s Vice-President Monika Shergill expressed excitement for the continuation of this cultural phenomenon.
