PM Modi pays tribute to visionary media person Ramoji Rao

In a poignant statement, Prime Minister Narendra Modi mourned the death of noted media personality Ramoji Rao on Saturday, hailing him as a visionary who revolutionised Indian media.

Rao, a trailblazer in journalism and the film industry, set unparalleled standards of innovation and excellence, Modi remarked on social media platform X. His exemplary efforts have left an indelible imprint on these fields.

Modi further added, ‘Ramoji Rao Garu was deeply committed to India’s progress. I am privileged to have had various interactions with him and benefitted from his insightful wisdom. My condolences go out to his family, friends, and innumerable admirers in this time of sorrow. Om Shanti.’ Rao, aged 88, passed away at 4.50 am while undergoing treatment, as reported by ETV Telangana, a channel from the Ramoji group.
