Truck collides into parked lorry, driver sustains serious injuries

Udupi: A driver sustained serious injuries after his vehicle rammed into a parked lorry at Udyavara on Friday night.

Locals immediately shifted the injured driver Raghu Shekarappa Tamshi to a hospital in Udupi.

Reportedly a truck had broken down and had been parked near Udyavara Auto Gas Centre since Friday morning.

During Friday night’s rain, the lorry moving in the same direction rammed into the parked truck from behind. Both the vehicles were completely damaged in the mishap. Vehicular traffic on the highway was disrupted due to the incident.

Kapu police have registered a case against both vehicles and the investigation is ongoing.
