Tensions prevailed in Kadaba after an individual from another community edited a photo of a Hindu Swamiji by swapping it with the face of Tamil Nadu BJP leader Anna Malai and posted it on WhatsApp Status.
Hindu organization activists gathered near the Sri Durgambika Temple in Kadaba on Friday, deciding to file a complaint against the accused, Anwar.
Later, Anwar came to the temple and admitted his mistake to the activists and leaders of Hindu organizations, assuring them that he would not repeat such actions in the future.
During the meeting, former Zilla Panchayat member Krishna Shetty and Hindu leader Raghuram Naik Kukkerabettu criticized Anwar, stating that he misunderstood the Hindus’ forgiving nature as a weakness. Anwar apologized sincerely for his actions, and the leaders, after discussions with the activists, decided to withdraw their plan to file a police complaint. They issued a stern warning to Anwar to avoid such behavior in the future, thus closing the case.
