Sullia: A truck carrying gas cylinders overturned after the driver lost control at a bend in Kodi, Kanakamajalu village, on the Mani-Mysuru highway on Monday evening.
The incident caused a gas leak, disrupting vehicular traffic.
The truck, transporting gas cylinders from Madikeri to Mangaluru, overturned when the driver lost control at a turn. Except for one, all the cylinders on the truck were empty. Gas leakage occurred from the filled cylinder.
The fire department was called to the scene. They emptied the gas from the leaking cylinder, alleviating the danger.
The accident led to a temporary halt in vehicle movement, but traffic resumed after some time.
