Belthangady: Senior journalist Vinay Kumar Semitha passes away

Belthangady: Senior journalist Vinay Kumar Semitha (71), a resident of Venoor Karimaneelu Guttu, passed away at his home due to a heart attack on June 12.

Vinay Kumar Semitha served as the former president of the Belthangady Taluk Journalists Association and was a correspondent for Udayavani, Vijay Karnataka, and Kannada Prabha newspapers in the Venoor region for many years.

He was also a former member of the Venoor Gram Panchayat and actively participated in religious events.

Recently, he served as the media committee coordinator for the 2024 Venoor Bahubali Mahamastakabhisheka and was actively involved in the media committee for the Mahamastakabhisheka in 2012 as well.

He is survived by his wife, one son, and one daughter.
