Ramanagara: The DK brothers hinted at a surprise Congress candidate for the upcoming Channapatna by-election. However, former minister CP Yogeshwar made a sensational claim that this surprise candidate is currently in jail.
CP Yogeshwar revealed that the Congress had planned to field Darshan, a notable figure, for the Channapatna by-election. In response, the Congress released a photo on social media showing CP Yogeshwar and his son Dhyan talking to Darshan.
Addressing C P Yogeshwar as”Sulleshwar” (meaning untruthful), The Congress commented, “Sulleshwar and his son Dhyan had approached Darshan to campaign for them in the last assembly election. However, Darshan did not participate, possibly because he saw through Yogeshwar’s cunning nature.”
The Congress explained that “Sulleshwar” and Dhyan met Darshan in Srirangapatna, Mandya, and urged him to campaign for them in the 2023 assembly elections. Photos of this meeting were shared on social media, highlighting the previous efforts to involve Darshan in their political campaign.
