Bengaluru: Kannada actor Sapthami Gowda has approached the court and obtained a restraining order against Sridevi Byrappa, following her disparaging accusations about Gowda in a divorce case.

Actor Yuva Rajkumar filed for divorce from his Sridevi Byrappa. In her reply to the divorce notice, Byrappa had made the serious allegations of an “illicit relationship” between Yuva and Saptami Gowda.

In her suit filed in the City Civil Court of Bengaluru, Sapthami Gowda claimed that her name was being dragged into the divorce case and her character was defamed.

The City Civil Court has issued a restraining order against Sridevi, preventing her from making defamatory statements and has served her a notice.
