As part of the golden jubilee celebrations of Jagadguru Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji’s sannyasa (1974-2024), the Sringeri Sharada Peetham has presented a gold-plated pair of sandals (Swarnapaduke) and a waistband (Oddiyanam) worth 40 lakh rupees to the Durga Parameshwari Temple at Kateel.

In a ceremonial event held at Sringeri, the Jagadgurus handed over the Swarnapaduke and Oddiyanam to Harinarayanadas Asranna, the hereditary priest of the Kateel temple. On Wednesday, these sacred ornaments were adorned on the deity at the temple, adding to the grandeur of the celebration.

Andhra Pradesh-based disciple Polisetty Shyam Sundar donated the items to the Sringeri Sharada Peetham.
