Chitradurga resident dies of heatstroke during Hajj pilgrimage

Mecca: A Chitradurga resident who had undertaken the Hajj pilgrimage has reportedly died of a heatstroke amid the severe heatwave conditions at Mecca.

The deceased identified as Rukhsana Kauser (63), a resident of Mandakki Bhatti Area was a retired teacher.

It is gathered that the last rites of the deceased would likely be performed in Mecca itself.

As per a list circulating online suggested at least 550 people died during the five-day Hajj.
