Hassan: A shooting incident inside a car claimed the lives of two individuals on Thursday in Hassan. The incident occurred near the old Masters’ College in Hoysala Nagar at approximately 12:50 PM.

The police are continuing their investigation to clarify the exact circumstances surrounding the shooting. Initial reports suggest that Asif shot his friend Sharafat Ali before taking his own life. Given that the weapon was left at the scene, it is believed that no third party was involved in the incident.
It is gathered that Sharafat Ali, originally from Delhi, had been residing in Hassan for several years. The two friends arrived at Hoysala Nagar in a Terrano car with registration number KA-09 MB 3868 around 12 PM.
Personal and Business Connections
It is gathered The deceased were not originally from Hassan but were related to local families through marriage. They were business partners in ginger and real estate transactions and had a strong friendship. On the morning of the incident, they reportedly had breakfast together at Sharafat’s residence before heading out.
Pending Questions
Both were allegedly scheduled to visit the Sub-Registrar’s office in Hassan for the registration of a plot. However, it is unclear why they went to the vicinity of the plot instead and what caused the sudden altercation. Further investigation is required to uncover these details.
