Bengaluru: Investigators have reportedly gathered more than 120 pieces of evidence against Darshan and his team in connection with the Renukaswamy murder case.

Sources said, the evidence collected includes the clothes, shoes, and slippers worn by the accused, their mobile phones, a lathi and wooden pieces used in the attack at the Pattangere shed, trampled shoes, hotel ledger books where the accused stayed, CCTV footage, the car Renuka Swamy was brought in, the car used to dispose of the body, money taken from Darshan by the accused, site inspections at 28 locations, the Pattangere shed where the attack occurred, and the hotel in R.R. Nagar where the accused stayed. All these have been gathered by the police.

Interrogation of Three Individuals

Three individuals who allegedly recorded the attack on Renukaswamy on their mobile phones have also been interrogated.

There were allegations that the video was sent to others, but the inspection found the video was reportedly deleted from the phones. However, due to the lack of sufficient evidence against them, the police have conducted inquiries and released them.

Initially, Karthik alias Kappe refused to surrender to the police. Consequently, Deepak hid the mobile phone in the Pattangere shed. This fact emerged during Deepak’s interrogation. The police have now retrieved the mobile phone from the shed, sources said.

Nagesh to Represent Darshan?

It is reported that senior advocate C.V. Nagesh may represent actor Darshan. Darshan’s close associates have already contacted C.V. Nagesh. Given the high-profile nature of the case, Darshan’s family and close associates have decided that it would be appropriate for C.V. Nagesh to handle the case.
