Mangaluru: On Monday, the BJP Yuva Morcha of Dakshina Kannada district organized a poster campaign near the city’s Clock Tower, protesting against the 1975 imposition of emergency in the country.

Speaking at the event, MLA Vedavyas Kamath remarked, “During Indira Gandhi’s tenure, the Congress imposed an emergency, violating the spirit of the Constitution. They insulted Dr. Ambedkar by defeating him in the elections. It is ironic that the Congress calls BJP anti-constitutional.”

Rahul Should Apologize: Poonja

Harish Poonja, MLA and State General Secretary of Yuva Morcha, stated, “The Congress, which claims to be the protector of the Constitution, was responsible for introducing the first amendment and imposing emergency, displaying authoritarian behavior. BJP Yuva Morcha District President Nandan Mallya, District General Secretary Bharat Raj Krishnapura, and Yuva Morcha activists participated in the event.
