Mangaluru: Traffic police officers took it upon themselves to fill potholes near the KPT Junction on National Highway-66!
On Tuesday morning, Sub-Inspector Eshwar Swamy of the Traffic East (Kadri) Police Station, along with staff members Siddaraju and Manju, brought concrete and personally filled the potholes.
Eshwar Swamy explained that a senior citizen on a scooter had recently been injured after hitting one of these potholes. Seeing this, they brought concrete the next day, but the heavy rains had washed most of it away. On Tuesday, with reduced rainfall, they filled the potholes again.
The public has praised the efforts of the traffic police, urging the National Highway Authority to take immediate action.
Eshwar Swamy and his team are responsible for duties at the KPT and Nanthoor Junctions. Previously, they also filled potholes at Nanthoor during similar circumstances.
Potholes have reappeared at the Nanthoor Junction on National Highway-66, and drivers are urging immediate repairs.
