Frequent traffic jam due to highway condition between BC Road and Kalladka

Bantwal: The BC Road-Kalladka highway has deteriorated due to ongoing development work and heavy rains, causing frequent traffic jams.

The highway is full of potholes and eroded sections, leaving only stones on the surface. This slows down vehicles, leading to traffic congestion, especially between Melkare’s Bolangadi and Narahari Parvatha-Kalladka.

After Kalladka, there is a newly constructed concrete road with no issues. However, the BC Road-Kalladka stretch remains problematic, said Bantwal traffic police.

Traffic Diversions at BC Road Circle

Frequent changes in traffic routes at BC Road Circle due to construction work often confuse drivers.Furthermore, the narrow road makes it difficult for heavy vehicles to turn, contributing to the jams. Water-filled potholes force vehicles to zigzag, further hindering smooth traffic flow.
