RED alert: Holiday for all schools and PUCs in Udupi for Saturday

Udupi: IMD has issued red alert for the coastal districts of Karnataka for July 6 and 7.
As a precautionary measure, a holiday has been declared for all Anganwadi centers, primary, high schools, and PU colleges in the district on Saturday, July 6.
Udupi Deputy Commissioner Dr Vidyakumari has declared a holiday as a precautionary measure due to the possibility of heavy rain.
The district administration has advised the public to take necessary precautions due to the increased rainfall and has made arrangements to assist people in flood-related emergencies.
A holiday was declared in 2 taluks in the district on Friday due to the increased rainfall.
