Surathkal: Illegal slaughterhouse raided, 16 cattle rescued

Surathkal: A large illegal slaughterhouse was raided near Krishnapura 8th Block and several cattle were rescued.
In a well-equipped concrete house, cattle were being illegally slaughtered and the meat was being processed and supplied to local hotels and other places.
When the police raided the premises, three suspects managed to escape. More than 16 cows were rescued during the operation.
Following information provided by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad Bajrang Dal Suratkal unit, a raid was conducted in the Krishnapura area where 16 cattle and several kilograms of beef were found.
The Suratkal police have seized the beef prepared for sale, as well as the vehicle used for the crime, and have registered a case.
