A young man caused a disturbance at Kadri Manjunath Temple on Tuesday morning by holding the ‘Kadsale’ (carved sword with thick, wide blade that is jagged at the edges) of Annappa Daiva..

The youth arrived on a bike, entered the temple, and kicked open the door of Annappa Swami’s shrine. He picked up the’ Kadsale’ and behaved erratically, even attempting to assault the priests who tried to intervene.

Temple visitors subdued the youth and handed him over to the police. Authorities have taken him into custody and are investigating. It has been reported that he works as a security guard at a private hospital in the city.
