Puttur: Absconding accused arrested after 9 years

The Sampya police have arrested an accused who had been evading court appearances for the past nine years in connection with a case from eleven years ago.

The accused, Mohammad Naseer (35), son of Ahmad Khan from Nangal Mawaripur, Nagina Taluk, Mehnuwad District, Haryana, was booked in a criminal case in 2013.

A warrant was issued for his arrest as he failed to appear in court for the past nine years.

The Puttur Rural Police arrested the accused and produced him in court, where he has been remanded to judicial custody.
