Ullal: KSRP inspector caught accepting bribe by Lokayukta

A KSRP inspector was caught accepting bribes from junior policemen at Assaigoli under the jurisdiction of Konaje Police Station.

Lokayukta police said that Inspector Mohammad Areez was caught red-handed while accepting a bribe. He was trapped while accepting money from junior officers in return for assigning guest house duties.

Inspector Areez had demanded a bribe of Rs 6,000 per month from KSRP personnel to assign them guest house duties. On July 10, Areez was caught red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 18,000, Lokayukta Police said.

The raid was conducted under the leadership of Lokayukta SP Nataraj and DySP Cheluvaraj.
