Bengaluru: BJP MLA Y. Bharath Shetty granted conditional bail in defamation case

The Special Court for Elected Representatives has granted conditional anticipatory bail to Mangaluru North MLA Y. Bharath Shetty in a case involving alleged defamatory speech against Rahul Gandhi.
Judge Santosh Gajanan Bhat of the Special Court for Elected Representatives granted the interim bail.
The court imposed the conditions of a personal bond of Rs. 1 lakh, one surety, no tampering with evidence or intimidation of witnesses, and mandatory court appearances.
