Bengaluru: The state legislative session will be held from July 15 to July 26, during which the BJP has decided to stage a major protest against the government on the very first day. The decision was made at a meeting of BJP state office bearers in the presence of state co-in-charge Sudhakar Reddy.

Following the meeting, BJP state general secretary Sunil Kumar announced that after a protest at Freedom Park in Bengaluru, a march to Vidhana Soudha will be held to demand the resignation of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

Several important decisions were made at the office bearers’ meeting. Discussions included the alleged Valmiki scandal and MUDA irregularities, he said.

Demand for CM’s Resignation

It is regrettable that as a leader, CM Siddaramaiah and his entire cabinet are preparing to swallow Dalit funds. Instead of promoting the upliftment of the Dalit community through new schemes, this government has created a series of scandals, including the misuse of SC/ST funds, the Valmiki scandal, and the Labor Department scandal, the BJP leader said.

Therefore, a call has been made for a Vidhana Soudha Chalo on July 15. A large number of people from the Valmiki community will participate in this protest. The BJP demands that Siddaramaiah resign and apologize to the Dalits for looting their funds, Sunil Kumar added.

Protest in Mysuru

A massive protest will be held in Mysuru on Friday, condemning the MUDA irregularities, led by BJP state president B.Y. Vijayendra and opposition leader R. Ashoka.

Chief Minister’s Response

Meanwhile, Siddaramaiah has dismissed the allegations as stemming from envy within the BJP. “Siddaramaiah, who belongs to the backward class, has become CM for the second time. BJP leaders are envious, and this conspiracy will not scare us,” said Siddaramaiah.
