Padubidri: A police complaint has been filed against a man accusing him of leaking private videos of his daughter on social media, including WhatsApp groups.
The wife of the accused registered the complaint with the Udupi CEN police station in this regard.
Meanwhile, his daughter attempted to end her life. She has been admitted to Ajjarakad hospital.
According to the complaint, the daughter was in a relationship with a relative from Thirthahalli. The accused did not approve of this relationship.
The accused allegedly called his daughter’s boyfriend home and assaulted him. He also took away the couple’s phones and transferred videos to his phone. Later he shared them on social media and WhatsApp groups, the complaint says.
When his wife objected to this, the accused allegedly assaulted her and her daughter. He also created a ruckus at his in-laws home where his wife had moved after the incident, according to the complaint.
