Bantwal: After the heavy downpours, the water level in the Netravati River in Bantwal has reached 6.1 meters.
In Bantwal, the danger level for the river is marked at 8 meters, and if it reaches 8.5 meters, floodwaters will enter houses in the Aladka area of Panemangalore.
Heavy rainfall in the ghat regions has led to a rise in the river’s water level.
The water levels may recede if all the gates of the Thumbay Dam are opened. It is also reported that the water level has risen in Uppinangady.
