Mangaluru: Three arrested for attempted acid attack and robbery

Bajpe police have arrested three individuals for attempting to rob a woman of her gold jewelry by throwing acid on her while disguised in burqas. The incident occurred in Bajpe, and police have seized property worth Rs 15 lakh from the accused.
The arrested individuals are Pritesh alias Preethu (31) from Shantigudde, Bajpe, Dhanraj alias Dhanu (30) from Kodikere, Surathkal, and Kusumakar alias Annu (37) from Bala Kumbalakeere.
On July 4, Leslie D’Cunha, a resident of Bajpe village, reported to the police that three individuals in burqas attempted to rob his Bajpe Finance in Bajpe Market. The incident was formally registered with the police.
Pritesh has two theft cases registered against him at Surathkal police station and one at Bajpe police station. Dhanraj has two attempted murder cases registered at Karkala Rural police station and one at Moodbidri police station, as well as a threat case at Surathkal police station. Kusumakar has two theft cases at Surathkal police station and one at Bajpe police station.
The police have confiscated an Innova car, a Swift car, and a scooter from the accused, all valued at approximately Rs 15 lakh.
