Puttur: Four students rescued while attempting to escape to Bengaluru

Personnel of railway staff rescued four boys who were planning to go to Bengaluru after escaping from their hostel.

On July 13, the boys had approached the ticket counter at Puttur Railway Station to inquire about the train to Bengaluru and requested tickets.

Noticing their suspicious behavior, the staff questioned the boys, who revealed that they had run away from hostel. They informed the local police who arrived at the scene and contacted their parents after counselling the students. The boys are currently with their parents.

The timely intervention of Kumar, the senior ticketing staff at Puttur Railway Station, along with colleagues Wasim Syed, Vasanth, and Malashree ensured the children’s safety.
