House theft in Kodikal: Accused apprehended, Gold jewelry worth Rs 4.64 lakh recovered

Police officials have arrested three accused in relation to a case of house theft that  was reported at the Urwa Police Station on July 6, 2024. The theft occurred in Kodikal Vivekananda Nagar, resulting in the loss of approximately 80 grams of gold jewelry.

The accused, identified as Venkatesh @ Venki, aged 21 years, Sagar, aged 21 years, Ranjith, aged 20 years,were apprehended in Gangoudanahalli, Nelamangala Taluk, Bangalore Rural District

. The police recovered gold jewelry worth around Rs. 4,64,750 and a scooter with the registration number KA 41 EY 2981 used in the crime. The accused were presented before the honorable court, which has ordered judicial custody.

Following the directives of Police Commissioner Shri Anupam Agarwal, and under the guidance of Deputy Police Commissioners Shri Siddharth Goyal and Shri Dinesh Kumar, the operation was led by Assistant Police Commissioner Shri Pratap Singh Thorat. The Urwa Police Station team, headed by Inspector Mrs. Bharathi, included PSI Harish HV, PSI Anita HB, ASI Vinay Kumar, and staff members Pushparaj, Ramachandra, Satish HK, Pramod K, Venkatesh, Abhishek, Bhaskar, Yallalinga, Mamatha, Chandrahass, Sharath, and Manoj. Their coordinated efforts resulted in the successful apprehension of the accused and recovery of the stolen property.
