Kinnigoli: Due to the efforts of social workers and Mulki police, a boy who had dropped out of school in 9th grade and was staying at home has been given the opportunity to continue his education.

In Damasakatte, under the jurisdiction of Mulki police station, a woman abandoned by her husband was living with her only son and working as a laborer to make ends meet. Due to financial difficulties, she had to stop her son’s education in 9th grade. The boy was kept at home, deprived of his right to education.

Social worker and RTI activist Stany informed the Child Helpline and Mulki police about this, requesting them to persuade the boy’s mother to send him to school.

Responding to the request, the Mulki police officials visited the boy’s house and spoke with his mother. They explained the importance of his right to education and promised necessary support. The boy’s mother agreed to send him to school.

Arrangements were made to cover the boy’s school fees, books, uniform, and he was admitted to a school in Kinnigoli.

The Mulki police officers, ASI Sanjeev P., Women Head Constable Joyce Suchita D’Souza, Head Constables Pavan Kumar, Satish, Chandrashekhar, and Hariprasad, contributed to this initiative.
