Traffic resumes on Shiradi Ghat stretch of NH-75 after rain eases

Sakleshpur: Traffic on the Shiradi Ghat stretch of National Highway 75 has resumed following a break in the heavy rains.
Due to landslides near Doddathappalu close to Sakleshpur and on the Shiradi Ghat stretch, vehicle movement between Sakleshpur and Mangaluru, as well as Dharmasthala, was restricted at night.
However, with the rains easing since Sunday evening and giving a break on Monday, vehicular movement on the Shiradi Ghat stretch has been allowed, and 24-hour traffic has resumed from Monday.
Sampaje: Night Traffic Resumes
In Sullia, night traffic between Sampaje and Madikeri, which was restricted due to the risk of landslides caused by heavy rain, has resumed from Monday morning. The restrictions, imposed as a precautionary measure, have been lifted, allowing night traffic to resume from Monday night.
Precautionary Measures on Mani-Mysuru NH-275
At Kartoji on National Highway 275 between Mani and Mysuru, the Kodagu district administration had imposed a night travel ban from July 19 to July 22, between 8 PM and 6 AM due to the possibility of landslides. Traffic resumed on Monday night. Precautionary measures continue in the landslide-prone area at Kartoji, with police deployed for safety.
