Belagavi: Several students injured after school bus overturns

Several students sustained injuries after a school bus overturned on Gokak and Paschapur Road on Wednesday, July 24 morning.

The bus, transporting students from a private English-medium school in Maradimath village of Gokak taluk, overturned, leaving five students seriously injured and several others with minor injuries. The accident occurred while the bus was carrying students from the villages of Mavanur, Godchinamalaki, and Melamatti.

Local police arrived at the scene to conduct an inspection.

Parents expressed outrage over the deteriorating condition of the roads, stating that it has been in disrepair for several years. Despite numerous demands for repairs, no action has been taken to fix the road.
