Train services between M’luru and B’luru suspended till July 29 due to landslide

Train services between Mangaluru and Bengaluru have been suspended until Monday (July 29) due to a landslide on the railway track between Yedakumeri and Kadagaravalli near Subramanya Road railway station on Friday evening.
Railway officials have informed that restoration work is underway and may take two to three days to complete.
The landslide was caused due to the continuous rain, thus halting train services between Bengaluru and Mangaluru. As a result, the Vijayapura Express, which had departed from Subramanya Road railway station at 5:30 PM on Friday, had to return to Subramanya Road railway station.
Due to the train cancellation, there was a dispute between railway officials and passengers as the railway authorities made no bus arrangements. However, members of the railway users’ forum arranged for bus services for the passengers.
